Victim family protesting against their occupied land, houses


ISLAMABAD, Jan 8: A 14 members’ family including women and infants is being protesting on 4th consecutive day on Sunday at National Press Club (NPC) here against the agricultural land and houses illegally occupied by the influential person in Khairpur Nathan Shah, Dadu Sindh.
            A victim, member of family Dad Hussain Chandio told that the influential person Liquat Chandio had captured their land and houses by alleging him of abducting his daughter.
            He said, "Liquat dispatched their peoples with arms, those stormed in our houses and started beating women and children and also registered bogus cases against us."
            Despite, the girl was found from Lahore but Liquat neither vacated our land and houses nor withdrew the fake cases which were lodged against us, he added.
            Dad Hussain said that Liaquat threatened us and asserted to fled from the village otherwise will face fierce causes. The issue has created massive miseries for our family since 2007.
            He appealed to President Asif Ali Zardari, Prime Minister Yusuf Raza Gilani and Chief Justice Supreme Court (SC) Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudary for justice and help.
            Sindhi Islamabad-based Journalist organization Sindhi Media Workers Association (SMWA) generated funds and provided to victim family.
            SMWA urged human rights organizations and individuals to come forward and help this family.
